Yes, those stops in the Ocean of tears are important to certain classes like
the necromancer. There is an island which sells necro spells, but the woman
there KOS dark elves.
Any i think i ever read of a portal which could transport ppl to somewhere,
a high level creature or something. Couldn't remember
