You are right. Problem is that more than half of the pple hunting in Lake
are casters, and that 2 solo spots are HOT favourite hunting ground for all
casters. Chances is very high that there are wiz at these spots (since wiz
kick ass in such FFA situation), which you will have no fight when playing
FFA with them. ;)

For me, I start to solo in 2 birds isle at lvl 24, by spreading out the
spawn. But if anytime when there is other pple come in, I will still lost
1 of the bird coz my mana cant generate fast enuff to take the 2nd. My
favourite spots are still the the solo isle, coz I basically dun like to
fight with others for kill. At solo isle, thing are very clear cut, if u
can win my nuke over FFA, u get the kill, I leave, if not, u better leave
;)

Btw, aviak guards can resis spell pretty well sometimes, I ever get spells
resisted 4-5 times when fighting few green chick. Even if I can root them
in the 1st place, chances is tat they will break free b4 my 3rd nuke. So
far I need to root average 1.5 times per fight, due to the resist or
break-free. If the 2nd bird come back after ya fear effect gone, good luck
to u (and the zone is quite far from all the aviaks guard spawning spot
except the one outside arena, where it's usually crowded), hehe.

Basically the hunting at Lake is quite boring, but UO players who used to
macroing shld have no problem (ah, remind me the days when I macro b4 I
sleep, wait up 2am to off PC for server down, wake up 3.30am again to turn
on PC con't macroing, hehe). But becoz of the slow spawn, the most impt
thing is to survive to maintain the xp earned. I know a warrior who got
killed in lake, swim to loot his corpse and got killed by the frog prince
(lvl 30 plus, con red to me still and very AGRO in sea) when he is swimng,
hehe. A lvl 29 necro was also killed last night at zone by the undead
trains (by a lvl 22 warrior), hehe.
