I thought I had this problem too. But as it turned out it's not that I don't have maps for the area, it's just that the map I have is not extraordinarily detailed as some of the others. There are cartographers in game that can make maps for you. Or you can learn to do it yourself. Or you can keep searching the net until you find some detailed maps. Just keep a list of the ones you need.
