This has nothing to do with the LDON adventures
though. This is something completely separate that they implemented for
the 5th Year Anniversary. Many people have already done this quest.
The prize is a Staff of Endless Adventuring which serves absoluitely no purpose
except to shoot off fireworks. There are different kinds
though. Each staff has its own set of fireworks. The type is based
on the character creation date. What you get is a Collector's Sack.
Then you find the 10 items the book suggests and put them in the pack and hit
Combine. This will create a Sealed Collector's Sack which you give back to
the NPC who gave them to you. He will then give you the staff in
return. The quest is fairly easy to anyone over level 50 as all the mobs
will con green. If you're a non-porter type, it may take you awhile to run
from zone to zone. If you have a porter friend who hasn't done the quest,
they can take you around and you can help each other get the pieces. I
finished the quest in about 3 hours with my 55 druid.
The items you need to collect all start with "A
Collector's..." You can't put just any item in there. It has to be
the Collector's items. The items are in no particular
order.
1. A Collector's Lightstone - drops off
willowisps in West Commons.
2. A Collector's Fire Goblin Skin - drops off
goblins in Solusek's Eye (Lavastorm Mountains)
3. A Collector's Undead Froglok Tongue -
drops off undead frogloks in Lower Guk (Innothule Swamp)
4. A Collector's Mistmore Granite - drops off
gargoyles in Mistmore Castle (Lesser Faydark)
5. A Collector's Shark Tooth - drops off
sharks in Ocean of Tears
6. A Collector's Preserved Split Paw Eye -
drops off gnolls in Splitpaw (South Karana)
7. A Collector's Water Ring - drops off aqua
goblins in Dagnor's Cauldron
8. A collector's Skunk Intestines - drops off
skunks in Toxxulia
9. A Colelctor's Kerran Doll - drops off Kerrans in
Kerra Isle (Toxxulia )
10. A Collector's Scythe - drops off
spectre's in The Feerrott
At first I was against doing the quest because the
staff really has no useful purpose other than just being something fun to
celebrate the 5th anniversary of EverQuest. But after I got it, I just kept
clicking it over and over cause the effect is so damn cool! Make sure you
have spell effects turned on and Opacity to full. It's worth
it.
So good luck, and don't die too much!

Subject: [EverQuest] Collection
adventure
I met a halfling NPC in Rivervale who offered a collection
quest. His
name was Samuel Peltzgum. He gave me a combining rucksack and a
list
of clues for the mission. I have been puzzling about the
clues,
finding this mission a bit cryptic. While defending myself
from
skeleton warriors in East Commonlands, I aquired a rusty halberd.
When
I looted it, the halberd dropped into the rucksack.
I saw a
similar NPC in Kaladim, I think it was. Anyone know of a help
site for this
particular quest?
