Yes. But you can always get it back :)

Hard to get off while being hit but it can be done,
especially if you start with a colorflux, or manage to
mesmerize it first.

Seems to be but I don't think anyone has done an
exhaustive experiment on this. It seems to effect the
duration of the charm, probably to the effect that the
number of times the creature tries to break out of
charm in any given minute is related to how much chr
you have.

Sometimes as little as a few seconds, other times it
can last several minutes, enough to fight one or two
fights.
