And lets not forget an equally important fact, shadow step will teleport
you far, far away. For example just last night a Sand Giant was pounding me
while I was hunting DeepWater crocs, not a pretty sight, anyway I shadow
stepped to the end of the zone in the water which gave me enough time to
gate. The shadow step, gate combo has saved my butt more times than I can
count.

Shadow Step also only takes 2 seconds to cast rather than the 4
seconds for fade, so you are much more likely to cast it without being
interupted in a melee situation.

You get a greater distance with Shadow Step. It has pulled
me out of a jam more than once.
