You are right, this argument/discussion is one of those that have no end.

But... to add my 2 cents hehe... If I am ever group leader and catch a bard
pulling with an area effect song in a place like Unrest or Mistmoore, that
bard will be soloing when he gets back from zoning the train. The best
puller, bar none, is the guy/gal who knows the strengths and weaknesses of
his/her class to a "T". I have grouped with paladins who liked to pull (that
was an interesting evening in Solusek) Rangers, Druids, Monks, even a wizzy.
Different situations call for different types of pullers. I regularly group
with an enchanter who loves to pull, and boy is she good at it, providing
she is not pulling long distances. Indoor or out, she is great. I pull when
fighting Aviaks for Safe Fall reasons. My ranger friends in Mistmoore and
Cazic for harmony reasons. Each situation requires something different of
the puller, and those that know there class inside and out, and know the
area you are hunting in, are better than those that don't.
