Subject: Re: Analysis Version 2.

Hehe, my first wiz is high elf wiz, in Innoruuk.

Somehow comparing with my 2nd gnome wiz, I feel it's easier to built the
2nd wiz, and more powerful. I think for both race, the main different is
CHA. High-elf got high CHA by default, while gnome has low CHA. Thus
high-elf got less allocation in other 'impt' stats like AGI and DEX. The
main disadvantage for low CHA is 10-20% higher price when u buy stuffs
(different of 20 base point for CHA). Next is WIS, high elf wisdom is also
25 points more than gnome (base stats). So if u put this 20 from CHA, 25
from WIS to other skills like AGI (to avoid kena hit), DEX (to avoid kena
disturbed and cast faster), it will help u to develop a more deadly spell
casters.

Another point u need to consider is wiz's melee skills. No doubt at lvl
1-20, wiz melee skills can still help abit (esp with magical staves), but
at higher lvl, wiz will have to stand behind blasting most of the time -
this is same case for cleric, which can only serve as a healer in high lvl.
No doubt for lvl 1-20, cleric can act as a 2nd class tank, but above that
their melee no longer be useful versus those high lvl monsters.

Eventually we will rise to high lvl, so we must consider how the stats
affect us at high lvl than low lvl. One thing I hate abt been a gnome is
the height. Most of the time my eye lvl cannot reach the breast lvl of
other chars...more important when the other party is a female, hehe. As a
high elf I have no problem looking other ladies, ;P. Also, been short,
gnome sometime cannot see monsters far away, or when the view is blocked by
semi translucent barrier like fireplace.

Ooi, anyone wanna team with me in Steamfont Mountain!? If no one coming
then I had to delete it and start a human wiz (lousier stats but easier to
find kakis to hunt), or make a troll something ;(

Also, anyone managed to find lvl 12 spell casters to bind? If yes, I will
come all the way to freeport, if not, I LPPL gotta make a char closer to
there, sigh.

One thing to clarify - I read that human char gain lvl faster, is that
true? I thought only hyrid classes are affected? Does that mean that
comparing a non-human wiz and a human wiz who team up and kill monsters,
the human wiz will gain xp & lvl faster? Also I read something about class
lvl restriction, does that mean non-human classes have a ceiling other than
lvl 50 for certain races? In AD&D non-human races have lvl limition for
certain classes, esp hyrid classes, not too sure if EQ work the same?
