Subject: Re: Role-playing element in EQ

I've analysed the erudite, dark elf and gnome when I try to make my 2nd
wiz. No doubt erudite and dark elf "seem' to have better vital stats for a
wiz, but if you look at an overall view, a gnome seems to work out better -
due to the high dex and high agi, which I top them up with 5 stats each to
make them 90. Having high dex, my casting rarely get disturbed, and with
high agi, many times I managed to kill my opponents b4 they killed me when
it's a fair fight coz I can avoid their attack and blast them back. The
impt stats for wiz is INT and STA, which is where I spend all my 30 stats
points when I create my 1st high elf wiz in Innoruuk. H/w, after reading
so many player guides in the net, I realised we all missed a very impt
point - ie to built AGI instead of STA. Why? Becoz at high lvl, compare
putting 5 points in STA and AGI, will u wanna get hit by a monster that
delivery a 100 HP dam with the additional 25HP gain due to the 5 STA
points, or to stand a higher chance to totally avoid the 100 HP dam? ;)

I think EQVault, EQSS, EQlore, EQlizer, EQGuide etc all have very
interesting and informative articles on creating chars which worth reading
b4 making a new char ;)

Always remember - the game itself has the default vital stats for each
class, but we have to consider our playing style as well. Simply building
up based on the vital status may hinder ya survival in EQ :)

Mondain (Gnome Wiz)

p/s: OK buddy Leshrec, I will join u in making an evil char to wipe out the
painskin pigs, whahahahahaah! I leave you guys to guess what I'm creating
tonight....maybe a surprise for all when I reach high lvl, heh.
