Necro pets as a whole do more damage then the pets of any other class,
and have higher HP than all pets, excluding Earth Elementals. The fact
that you could heal them is also a bonus. However, at high levels, pet
spells need warbone chips and that is not readily avalible compare to
laziz(sp?) lapis(magician's pet reagent) and tiny daggers(enchanter's
pet reagent)

Necro also do a hell lot of damage at high levels with their DOT spells.
One tactic many necro use is to cast your strongest DOT spell, send your
pet to attack, fear then throw the rest of you DOT spell and cast fear
from time to time. A minute of battle in this manner result in your
enemy taking 1000+ damage past level 20.

Also, their attacks against undead are second only to Clerics. You can
basically solo in the undead dungeons like Befallen as long as you have
a constant supply of reagents.

BTW to all magi/would be magi, do not rely too much on root. At high
levels, it last a very short period to be of any use.
