I used to have similar problem once with my UO patch, and the problem lies
with the CIH virus in my PC. There is now CIH 95 & CIH 98, I suggest u d/l
the norton trial virus scan to scan ya PC. At their site, they have a
special d/l for this *(&^!# virus. Just dun anyhow format ya HDD like what
I did last time. If u suai suai kena, stay cool and use norton virus scan
to clear slowly. Other than that, I cant think of any other reasons u
can't patch. ;(
Worse if u cannot find any virus with the latest scan, uninstall and
reinstall ya EQ. If u have few HDD drives, try to install it in another
drive. Dun be surprise I ever encounter UO can't load when I change a HDD
and when I reinstall it in another drive, it simply works without any valid
reason!
