A warrior can simply toe to toe a single blue CC orc. Pally can do the same, easily, then just use heals between fights instead of sitting 15 minutes after each fight. No snare, root, fear, anything needed. Jsut get one by itself and smack it til it dies. I did this while waiting for druid partner to get mana, and while waiting for him to arrive, you can take a single orc with about a red and a half left. This was all done using TGB, 16/36, and SSoY and Bloodstained Fang, so you don't need to be highly twinked to do it.

Paladin can solo Specters in Oasis pretty easy, fear kitting.  Oasis has a nice bugged spot where the mobs stop running and just stand still.

Can paladins solo? Seems like a key to effective soloing is the use of some sort of snare, be it the snare spell or the darkness line. For a shadow knight for example, I darkness and beat the snot out of it. If it runs, it runs slow so does not get back to its friend. If it is tough, I reverse kit it with darkness/fear.

What tactics could a paladin use to solo? Root and heal when you get in trouble...?

I don't think it would work well, but I've also never tried it. My understanding is that you would need lots of room for that, and areas to kite/reverse kite through. This is tight quarters fighting, the sort a tank excels at. The blues are soloable by a warrior, I only suggest Pally and Ranger bc they can heal themselves to cut downtime.

Pallys and Rangers, possibly SK's could solo there and get a level an hour from 36 to 38. I had a druid helping me (I'm warrior) and it took one evening for me to get those levels.

Crystal Caverns in Velious? And I've heard snow cougars are good hunting as well. Think I will give that a try...
