When Sony did their 6th anniversary celebration all characters who have been playing over a year received free veteran rewards. They're like AA abilities but they're active from level 1. but you can only get them on a certain number of toons. So you have to be sure which toons you want the rewards on.

there was a command you could use to tag the character for the veteran rewards. I dont remember what it was but there should be a command that shows up in the MOTD if you havent done it yet. Otherwise you can go to the FAQ on EQ's site and it'll tell you.
