Well, this could be one of several things...
A. Legit (in the sense of how you say or a NPC.
B. A Joke
C. A simple way to farm your email address for future spam.
The farming is done to find legit email address to send you spam this
way their servers don't get tons of bounce backs. I would go to
Yahoo.com and see if you could search this person's profile. If there is
anything there, they may be legit, if there is nothing there then it's fake.
