But it's not just AC, although the damage mitigation is important. It's also what type of AA do they have. For example, if the higher HP tank has damage mitigation AA - then it's a clear choice.

If the tanks in question are leveling and not working on AA, then I'd go with HP. Check the healer's mana after a couple mobs. If he's taking too much damage for the healer to keep up, switch them out.

Hail all!

I've got a question for you all..say your the group leader and you have 2
tanks. You compare them to see who is going to be the Main Tank and one
tank has more hit points than the other, but the other has more AC. Who do
you choose to be the Main Tank, the guy with more hit points, or AC?
