There is to way to MAKE the dye to dye your armor if you don’t’ have the LoY expansion. Unless you buy the components from someone else. However, on most servers, the price of dye in bazaar (or in people WTS or WTB) costs about the same as the components themselves, so you might as well just buy the dye in the first place.
There are other ways to dye armor for specific armor (the Lambent armor and fine steel kind of stuff)… However, I don’t know if that is still available, and it doesn’t work for everything. You would have to look and see if you could find information on the web about that.
