By your reasoning then nobody is addicted to food, gambling or sex. To see some people that would disagree with you check out the Center for Addiction and Mental Health.   www.camh.net

I do not know anybody addicted to EQ, but I know a food addict.  Somebody being addicted to EQ does not make the game wrong, it makes the person wrong.  Just because you can't stop eating does not mean food is bad.  Same thing for EQ.  Saying people are addicted to it is not an attack and does not need to be defended against.

On a lighter note, if your addicted to the internet you can get help....ONLINE! http://www.netaddiction.com/

You can beg all you want /grin. I don't think that it is the game that is the problem. The problem is self-esteem for the one woman. The day you see someone go into DTs from EQ, you can talk to me about it being an addiction. These people play too much for other reasons (insecurity, mental problems, withdrawal). If they were not hiding in EQ they would be hiding elsewhere.

I beg to differ. I know people who let their house go, play from the time they get home from work til the time they go to bed, and their small children live there knowing they come second to a video game. Another person I know is a huge lady. She tells me that she loves EQ and spends all her free time there because where else can she be beautiful and skinny. She has children too. I keep hearing about how they get up to go to bed and find their kids asleep on the floor near their computer desk and they didn't even realize the children were there.

It is sad. And I think this happens far more than people will admit.

I think it is a true addiction for some.
