Adding stats should be fairly trivial, same as armor dyes were.....Diablo 2 did a fine job combining both effects with gems. I'm gonna wait and see about all this bc I've heard conflicting reports on requirements....several guildies of mine claim it has no requirements beyond what current EQ with all expansions has, but a page I saw claims otherwise....much, much higher...and with my relatively old puter I don't want to end up with something I can't even play. Once I'm sure it won't mess up everything for me, then chances are I'll buy it for the features, and items/spells. I rarely play in the planes due to lag issues (POJ being a notable exception, small hallways are something my puter handles admirably) and same thing with many Luclin zones...ME, TS, and FG are close to a lost cause for me.

BUT, with LDoN, this is supposed to be somewhat possible... not necessarily changing the look of things but to give any item special properties. So there will literally be limitless possibilities for items in the game now.

Unfortunately, going by what they've said in the past, never gonna happen. If adding ONE model (Iksar skellie pets for Iksar necros and SKs) sucks up too much resources and would require too much  recoding to be feasible, then adding seperate, interchangable parts like taller collars or optional horns for helms would likely fall under the same limitations.
