Maybe they could come up with an expansion/ patch to provide new challenges in the older zones..rather then build new zones.

Yeah, I don't think it's a server specific thing. It seems to be happening across all servers. I play on Cazic Thule, Tunare, Seventh Hammer, and it's the same story on all servers.

It's kinda sad really, but maybe I'm just nostalgic for the old days. I don't miss having to look at the book constantly while I med though. :)

Then again, it does make it harder for a druid to make a living. Now I actually have to kill things for money! :( What's this world coming to??

Great Question. I think POP did change some things, one of which is that people don't hang at Druid rings anymore waiting for ports. So here I am a level 14 warrior wanting a port so I go to WC and kill some Dervs while waiting for a port. Now, I just run my tail to Freeport and take a book. I think this is more in line of what we are seeing, I play on Druzzil and see the same types of scenarios. Good Luck
