Usually ain't the OS fault. However, running on more than 512 mb of ram XP will run smoother than ME.

It's also correct that a smaller chipset of RAM will always be faster, as long as you use the same kinda RAM. However, that only works till you need to utilize more than 64MB ram, if you need to exceed it a 128MB card will be faster.

I think it's actually 768 megs for WinME...and don't ever let anyone tell you that ME's not suitable for EQ. My primary EQ box for over 3 years has been a 450 mhz k6-3 box with 256 megs ram, that ran ME. Rock solid, reliable, no compatibility issues...it's great. ME has never given me anything like the problems I've seen others talk about. Only time it ever acted up is when the cpu fan was failing....obviously not the OS's fault.

I have 512 mb ram not 412.  I am using win me not xp or 200 or even 98.  I was told that if I put more than 740 mb ram my sytem will slow down due to windows not being able handle a super amount of ram.  just what I have be told by compouter techs.  well see evryone on Norrath.
