Heh. I live in the boonies. They won't even put cable TV out where I live.
Nor will they make the lines DSL ready. Y'know how cable shares a line for
internet? My phone company was too cheap to put full phone lines out to my
area. So they just take a single phone line that is supposed to service one
house, and splice it up to service all of the houses in my area. I was
connecting at 26k until my neighbor got another phoneline installed so now I
only get 21.6k. They actually took some of my line away to give him a line--
they did it wrong at first so one of my lines wasn't usable and it kept
saying it was ringing for 3 days in a row (which is how long it took them to
come out and fix it). Ruined 2 of my phones.
But that's life.
