Common misconception....

I have power leveled many friends and guild mates. Granted everyone had
already had a level 50 or 60 at the time and knew atleast one class already.
Some of the best exp I've ever seen was being power leveled by 5 level 60
and grouped with a 54 rogue, 53 monk and 55 warrior doing juggs in Sebilis
for hours on end. If you have played this game long enough, I think we've
all somehow helped someone get that last bubble to 50 or 60 depending which
year of EQ we were in. Maybe it is just my guild

Back when everyone was at the level 50 cap or 60 cap and no AA Exp, we'd
power level just for the pure fun of it. I know so many guild mates and
others that 2 box all the time. If you have played the game for 3 years and
played 5-6 different classes at level 60, you'd be surprised how fast people
can learn a class. Sure, some people will just be better than others. But to
say the general comment that anyone that has been power leveled can not be
good or has a low skill is a major misconception. I know a couple characters
that have played the game for close to 3 years and are level 60, never been
power leveled, never been given items and they still stink at their own
class and I could put +50% my own guild of any class and they could play
better than some people out there. Tell please tell you you've never ran
into this person before??

So much of the game is learned at the early levels and if you are willing to
learn and pay attention to detail, ask questions, read other classes web
pages and spells, you will slowly grasp a large portion of the entire game.
Raiding or 6 man experience groups. Great thing about EQ though is that
there is always something new to learn out there.

If you've never played your own character to say level 50 or so, I would
strongly disagree to being PL'd. Learn the game first and don't beg for
anything. It's a game go play it. Think yourself as a sponge and just soak
everything you learn about your own class and others, know what spells
everyone is casting, ask what effects they do. The game really is a lot of
fun the first time around.

All gods bless gnomes!

I have been playing for about two years and have never been
powerleveled or given anything and I still have a ton to learn about the
game. I don't see how anyone could possibly be pl'ed and be a good player.

Don't be afraid to ask someone to pl you?? Sorry I
do not agree with that. Do not ask for pl....do it yourself. Being power
leveled makes for bad players with low skills. Do it yourself with
groups,etc....
