Well, I don't care about people who cheat on their home characters. EQ can
do it like Blizzard where those characters can't be brought online (Blizzard
has that seperate secure server). So people can play EQ when the server is
down for patching and such. And I've seen quite a few people who act like
they wish they were the only ones playing.
Maxis created a free program called Homecrafter so people can make new floor
and wall designs.
They also add user-created skins and such to their expansions and sometimes
include user-created items that they like. They actually like the fact that
Sims users make their own new objects for the houses and they havne't tried
to shut down any of the sights that have objects for download.
One of the Sims creators wrote a book on making games and he said rule
number one was making it fun.
And lately, Verant has been trying to make the game so it isn't very fun.
Like I said, I don't care if there are cheaters and such. I just want to
have fun playing the game.
luv,
-Su
