from an online perspective Blizzards way sucks ass. The shher volume of
people who hack the game is enormous and gives you almost endless ways to
hack the game. Verants approach at least locks down a lot more of the
possibilities. (Not saying its tamper-proof, its not) but still better by a
mile.
Cant really compare an online to offline approach.

Well, I wish they would do things more like Blizzard with Diablo where you
can choose to have offline characters and not have to worry about upgrading.
And I really wish they were as friendly as Maxis. One of the reasons I love
the Sims is that they actually encourage you to make new items for your
characters.
