I know I'm late responding, I had that a couple times and it was a sign that
EQ had crashed on me. I had alot of problems with my Voodoo 3. The screen
would just freeze up during EQ at random. It also did the same if I tried to
run a screen saver. I put the voodoo 3 in another computer and it did the
same freezing thing in EQ. I spoke to 3dfx and they said it sounded like a
defective card. Verant tech support agreed. They recommend you get the
drivers 1.07.00 from the 3dfx website in downloads section.
