Thanks. I am actually looking for name brands too. I dont want to do the big purchase only to find out my Video card blows and the drivers for it dont work with eq that well ect ect. I play on a 350 PII lap top with 128megram and 8mb video card now. But it has a lot of driver problems ( I see Enchanter pets!! Btw they look like humans) Nobody has the right shoes on (everyone has really funky tie dyed shoes) I wont list all my problems here. But if anyone out there has a system they think is perfect for EQ let me know what you have. Thanks again

A good video card and lots of ram should be your biggest concerns. CPU speed doesn't matter nearly as much as ram seems to. I've played EQ on 2 450's before...almost identical, but one with 128 megs ram, the other with 256. Zones loaded much faster on the one with the extra ram, and the lag on 56k modems seems minimized. A good video card should help with the lag too.
