After Accept just hit space or enter 2 or 3 times (depending if you have the
intro movie installed) to skip the first screens. As for the 3DFX splash, it
has nothing to do with EQ. It's your computer telling you that you are now
running in 3D mode, this can be disabled with your graphic card software.
This probably changed to default on your card when you reinstalled/upddated
your graphic drivers or DirectX.
