Yes but mesmerize could be resisted. Up until yesterdays patch Memory blur
was an Unresistable spell. NOTHING, not even lordd mistmoore himself would
resist it. If you ahd tried to use mesmerize in place of memory blur on a
sand giant it would ahve resisted it (being red to you) and stomped youa s
well as the rest.
