I have seen this too. When I first put points into jewelcraft I only
had 18 points. I bought some siver and malchite and successfully made a
ring. So i bought some silver and Rose Quartz and successfully made a
ring. Than I tried Jasper and failed. So i went back to malchite and it
said this item is trivial to make, but i failed again. So i tried Jasper
again and failed. And this whole time I didn't gain any experience.
