Basically charisma is more important than anything for an enchanter.
Things you can get around your level are the bracelets of woven grass,
thaumaturgist/gossimer robe, you should *almost* be able to quest for the
incandescent gloves, hardest part would be the shadowmen who are around
level 25. Once you hit upper 20s (28, 29) you can get gatorscale sleeves.
By mid 20s you can get drakescale leggings, and mid 20s will also get you a
pair of wolf fur slipper, and a runed circlet. high 20s can get you a
lizardscale cape, and quite possibly an fbr.

All of these level suggestions are based on *full* groups.

Also, as a side note, I havent meleed since level 32. Should have stopped
meleeing before that. The mana you recover while you would otherwise be
doing paltry damage, is worth it.

I'm a level 29 Enchanter and I still use the 2 stein in a group. When I solo
I use a Obsidian shard, not the best weapon, but that 30pt proc helps.
Always with a Dragoon Dirk in the missile slot.

At your level you should be able to afford a Flowing Black Robe.

Also, the staff of writhing is about the opposite of what you need. Charisma
is the LAST thing you need to have reduced by items.

Staff of writhing is ONLY good if you're killing very light greens (like
skeletons too dumb to leave you alone). It's got good dmg/delay, and the
proc (at L29) is nice, but -9 CHA is very painful.

If you have some L25+ friends to group with, you can probably get a rod of
insidious glamor (+12 CHA) or incandescent wand (procs color shift) from
Sultin in Solusek Ro.

Of course, for many enhanter situations, the 2-stein plan (crude and
moggok) is better than an actual weapon.

I agree. I use stein of mogok and crude stein for selling or when my charm
based attacks are important. At other times I use the insidious rod with a
crude stein. I was able to get the rod myself with the hardest part coming
from upper guk (priest I think). I patiently waited for a chance to loot
the golden rod.

you'll want to go for +cha and +int items with +cha being more important I
think; but it really depends on the situation. I have a savants cap, green
silken drape, and incandescent gloves (which are a very easy quest). Next
I'd like to quest for the incandescent mask but the rune in mistmoore will
be a bit of a pain I think.

I would buy gold or plat int or cha jewelry when you can collect the cash.

What is Darkwood Staff? I know it's a reward in the Temple for a quest, but
what is it?

its a really crappy 1H blunt staff with 28 delay and 5 damage... it weighs
6.5 stone and has no other magical properties, other than being magical
itself by nature.
