Wow I didn't realize posting the statistical facts
disproving someone's mis-informing statement was "rude
and condescending"...excuse me for letting an attempt
at accuracy get in the way of your illusion. :)

Just for fun here's my calculated data at various
levels for:
(m)ages, (w)izards, (d)ruids, (s)hamans, and (c)lerics
This includes 3 comparison criteria:
max damage, dmg/mana ratio, and dmg/casting time
ratio:
lvl max dmg/manadmg/ct
24m 176 1.6 50.3
24s 149 1.5 48.1
29w 250 1.85 69.4
29d 182 1.7 52
29c 218 1.5 62.3
level 29:
damage: w, c, d, m, s
dmg/mana: w, d, m, c, s
dmg/time: w, c, d, m, s
(note: mages and shamans get the shaft a bit here as
they did not get nukes at 29)
34w 320 2.0 76.2
34m 333 1.9 66.6
34s 263 1.8 65.8
Level 34:
damage: m, w, s, c, d
dmg/mana: w, m, s, d, c
dmg/time: w, m, s, c, d
(again note, druids/clerics have old spells)
39w 405 2.3 84.3
39d 302 1.9 65.7
Level 39:
damage: w, m, d, s, c
dmg/mana: w, d, m, s, c
dmg/time: w, m, s, d, c
(here mage, shaman, cleric have old spells)
44w 625 2.5 113.6
44m 600 2.4 98.4
44c 516 2.2 84.6
44s 430 2.2 81.1
Level 44:
damage: w, m, c, s, d
dmg/mana: w, m, c, s, d
dmg/time: w, m, c, s, d
(druids have old spells)
49w 1120 2.8 177.8
49m 810 2.7 115.7
49d 612 2.4 100.3
Level 49:
damage: w, m, d, c, s
dmg/mana: w, m, d, c, s
dmg/time: w, m, d, c, s
(and here clerics and shamans suffer without new
spells)
My interpretation of the data:
-Wizards are the best nukers across the board...as
they should be.
-Mages are clearly #2 at nuking from lvl34 on up.
-Druids are #3 at level 49-50 and IMO the worst nukers
from 34-38 and 44-48 (even behind clerics!).
Data used:
Mage:
lvl mana ct max damage
24 110 3.5 176 (shock of spikes)
34 155 4.6 295 (blaze)
34 175 5.0 333 (cinder bolt)
44 250 6.1 600 (shock of swords)
49 300 7.0 810 (lava bolt)
(Note: Mage DD spells do look mighty strange with the
levels they get them at...did I miss any?)
Shaman:
lvl mana ct max damage
24 100 3.1 149 (Frost Strike)
34 150 4.0 263 (winter's roar)
44 200 5.3 430 (blizzard blast)
Cleric:
lvl mana ct max damage
29 145 3.5 218 (wrath)
44 240 6.1 516 (retribution)
Druid:
lvl mana CT max damage
29 110 3.5 182 (combust)
39 155 4.6 302 (firestrike)
49 250 6.1 612 (starfire and ice)
Wizard:
29 135 3.6 250 (inferno shock)
34 160 4.2 320 (ice shock)
39 180 4.8 405 (lightning shock)
44 250 5.5 625 (conflagration)
49 400 6.3 1120 (ice comet)

(PS and again please correct me if any of my numbers
or calculations are off!)
Ok.. I just wondering where enchanters fit in here.
I'm new to the list and I would like to know how to play an enchanter at
lower levels. I have a Paladin 30, Druid 30, and Enchanter 5. I'm finding
I get myself killed with the pet as much as it has saved me. Enchanter has
been by far the hardest to play of the 3. I know they are a group oriented.
Do they have any solo ability? If so at what levels does solo ability end?
