Basically, the idea of Minor Illusion IS to allow you to meditate in peace. I
used to use it a lot in BlackBurrow all the time without incident.
Unfortunately, undead can see through illusions.

As for duration, I haven't the foggiest, as I usually am done with my illusion
before it expires.
