Up to 16, as soon as I got the new pet spell, that first level I would often
summon an even pet, sometimes even a yellow pet. With the 20th level spell,
I have very rarely gotten even a 20th level pet. One that cons as 19th is
what I settle for. When I was with a higher level enchanter friend (27th),
she summoned a 21st level pet once with the 24th spell. This isn't really a
problem as I see it, especially in a dungeon, where charm is much more
powerful than using a pet.
