The first and foremost step is to put 20 training points into the skill.
I'm not sure exactly what stone you should start with at a skill of 20, so
just buy a few silver bars and start at the bottom. If you get the 'trivial'
message, move to the next stone.
Make no mistake though, jewelcrafting is an expensive trade in its early
stages.
