You are a dark elf that makes it easier by 5 times (at least) , the enchant
metal spells can be found ONLY in Neriak , 3rd gate zone , in the library,
middle vendor (i think), for us non-inkies... we must either get someone
else to buy it for us after a long walk,, or use our invis /dark elf
illusion
