But their original problem was they said they couldn't make an item only
usable when equipped I thought. Changing the existing Guise would make as
big a stir as the box of Abu whatever crapola.

Well, they didn't fix it. They made a new item. The old
guises still work without being equipped, much to the chagrin
of the non-bard/rogue non-powerlevelers.
