i don't know about faydark but to get onto the boat in free port is pretty tricky... until you find the magic secret. start going straight towards the west gate of freeport, then take a right... follow the wall while walking into it (walk diagnally into the wall) just keep going... it's a little while away... anyway you should soon find an invisible wall to walk through. finally, keep following it and you should zone into east freeport. this secret passage also doubles as a guild house for the human necros, s.k's, and rogues. the exit to the secret passage looks like a house with many dead ends... but they are all secret walls. you should be able to walk around the zone border to the docks. that's about it... then you can get to butcherblok and then get to faydark.
