easily obtainable from this list, I thought you should all be made<br/>
aware.  This message was posted on the EQ-Vault News page.<br/>

Email Scam<br/>
                                                  I&#39;ve received numerous<br/>
emails from<br/>
                                                  people who have<br/>
received a message from<br/>
                                                  someone claiming to be<br/>
from Verant<br/>
                                                  Interactive. In this<br/>
scam email you are<br/>
                                                  asked to email your<br/>
EverQuest login name<br/>
                                                  and password in to<br/>
them. The email looks<br/>
                                                  something like this:<br/>

                                                        Hail Everquest<br/>
player. We<br/>
                                                        regret to inform<br/>
you that<br/>
                                                        your name has<br/>
came up in<br/>
                                                        one of our<br/>
meetings<br/>
                                                        concernig your<br/>
legitimate<br/>
                                                        account. Your<br/>
account must<br/>
                                                        be viewed by our<br/>
staff as to<br/>
                                                        review the<br/>
purchase of your<br/>
                                                        account. This<br/>
may be<br/>
                                                        nothing at all<br/>
but it is required<br/>
                                                        that we do not<br/>
overlook any<br/>
                                                        false payments.<br/>
You will not<br/>
                                                        be kept off the<br/>
server unless<br/>
                                                        you do not<br/>
respond within a<br/>
                                                        short period of<br/>
time. Your<br/>
                                                        login name and<br/>
password<br/>
                                                        will be<br/>
required. Please<br/>
                                                        respond with<br/>
this information<br/>
                                                        as soon as<br/>
possible. Thank<br/>
                                                        you, Sincerely,<br/>

                                                  password or your<br/>
account&#39;s safety will be<br/>
                                                  compromised.</div>
