Monsters levels are different from player levels in the game. I am level
13 and can take a fire imp out on my own. Depending on the imp, he can do
some real harm to me... there are times I end up dying because one is
particularly strong.
There was an informative post on this recently, I will try to find the url
and send it on for everyone to check out. It is very interesting to see
what the developers said. It was within the last few days on one of the
major sites.. probably EQ Vault and it may not have been wizard specific (I
seem to remember something about necromancers being mentioned), but it
applies to everyone in the game.
