I can't seem to find the small jar in my potter's book. (Did I miss it?) It
also seems extremely odd to me that a SMALL jar would need TWO bocks of
clay. (2 small blocks of clay or one block of clay seem more likely to me)

I recommend checking the recipe.

Here is my jar recipe which I have confirmed (got me my first 40 skill
points in pottery)

Fashioining a Clay Jar:
A block of clay
appropriate jar sketch
flask of store bought water

Firing a Clay Jar
unfinished jar
quality firing sheet

Graedon
Ranger of Surefall Glade
Master Potter
Master Brewer
