Actually,
My gnome is my lev 18 magician. I took my magician to buy 2 copies of the
lev 29 pet spell. I then gave the 2 copies to a lev 28 necro friend and
switched chars back to my necromancer. My friend then game me a copy of the
spell and paid for the other one.
It sucks to have to use a character as a mule, but it got the job done fast.
