Okay, to answer a few questions at a time:
1) RTS is Runed Totem Staff, you will need a magical weapon if you want to
melee against most creatures
2) There is a ghoul camp, but I'm not sure where yet... see #1 because they
are only hit with magical attacks
3) Go to East commons, to Nektulos forest. At the way other side of the
zone, almost straight north, the entrance to Lavastorm resides.
