Your pets will get skills as they get stronger in levels. My level
12 pet will bash and I think the level 16 skeletons get either kick or some
other skills. I'm not exactly sure of the ranges, since its hard to see if
your pet has double attack or dual wield till you try it. One thing however
to keep in mind... once you get level 12 and Convoke Shadow, there's no real
point to equipping your pet unless its a magic weapon. Level 12 skeleton
pets can hit magically and can bash for magical damage too. So don't give
them a shield or weapon unless they are magical. however a magical dagger
is quite effective as it lowers their attack delay without lowering their
damage.
