Although I'm a newbie here, I do have a quick suggestion. Whenever I level
I always spend about 10 - 15 minutes maxxing my stats before hunting if
possible. To do this I cast a pet and target it, then cast Disease Cloud
(10 mana Conjuration) and Siphon Strength (5 mana Alteration) at it until
both are maxxed. That way I know I'll do as well as possible for my level
in battle.

I was wondering because it seems that as I gain level (within a circle of
spells), toward the end of that circle I cast a higher level pet more often
than a lower level pet.
