I was able to solo the dreads (barely) at level 10. Having backup here is
really nice, since often you will be facing multiple opponents. Having a
cleric is a plus, since they can heal you or blast the undead to bone chips.
I found that the problem getting the rib bones is not so much being
capable of killing the putrids and dreads, but more that the ruins are
usually camped. Once I had fought a few dreads and putrids, I had no
compunctions in accepting two rib bones from people who didn't need them.
I had already proven I COULD do it, but I have better things to do with my
time than wait for putrids to spawn with ribs (like kill frogs over and over
for netted gloves).
Anyone else feel bad about purchasing anything anymore? I used to, but
then I realised I'd rather buy that nice item than camp for 6 or 12 or
however many hours for it. I'd rather be out having fun hunting different
monsters and exploring than sitting in a small room, killing the same stupid
monster over and over and praying that they spawn that special item.
